July 10 / Day 50 / Young Point to Bobcaygen / 29.4 NM

Horse drawn wagon getting some attention
This is an old truck chassis serving as the bed of a pontoon boat

Got an early start and headed out with Fins and Hour Plan.  We traveled five locks today through Clear, Stoney, Lovesick and Pigeon Lakes arriving at the Bobcaygen lock for the night. We saw some interesting scenery, including some of the nicest homes and boat houses on this stretch today (and we've seen a lot).
Bobcaygen is a part of the Kawartha Lakes region, best known for its ice cream.  It's also where Alan Cameron, a long time employee of Clarke Brothers, is from. Small world!
Tim loved this boat house
Cute house on a little island with the boat house next door on an even smaller island
