Sat. 2/17 left KW @ 8 and arrived at Faro Blanco in
Marathon about 2:00. Millie met Scout, a 6
mo. Golden Retreiver and lured him into the water for a refreshing swim. Docktails with some friends and dinner at Lazy Days with the crews of Hour Plan, Shell Belle, and Seascape.
Back to Faro Blanco |
Sun. 2/18 checked out the hotel pool, nice. Did some boat errands, paperwork, another
swim for Millie (she loves it here) and cooked up spaghetti on board.
Mon. 2/19 swim @ the pool, did a grocery run vis a vis our
bikes, and chef Alice cooked up a fabulous meal of chicken parmesan and roasted Brussels sprouts - oh yeah.
Tues. 2/20 took Millie to the vet to get her cleared to
go to the Bahamas if we have an opportunity to get over there.
Millie's vet appointment |
Mailed a international letter at the post office;
that took a while because they are grossly understaffed ; it was as bad as our
most recent experience in Key West.
After a conference call, we met a group of Loopers at the Florida Keys
Steak & Lobster for Jim's Birthday.
It was a fun time but I have to say there is something about this town
where they have an aversion to updating 'their look'; real old school.
Happy Birthday Jim! |
Post dinner Alice and I got a tour of a Krogen Express 52. It's one of those dream boats but above our pay grade type of thing; we really enjoyed checking to out.
