November 10 / Day 173 / Ingraham Bayou to Pensacola Beach

Took Millie to shore amidst some fog and raised the anchor at 7.

Tim and Millie returning from their morning walk

We had a great ride along the ICW to our anchorage at Red Fish Point where we will watch an air show off Pensacola.  This anchorage is in a bay between two sandy islands.

It's Veterans Day, the anchorage is busy and full but we found a great spot to watch the show.

Where the blue dot is in the center of the screen is where we were anchored.  Naval Air station Penasocola is the large brown X right above us.

We arrived at late morning and had plenty of time to take Millie and Callie in to run on the beach and swim.  Just  about noon, a very large and expensive motor yacht (we'll call him Rodney) entered the bay.  Golden was anchored and we were rafted to them.

Rodney pulled up along side us and asked if he too could raft up to Golden.  At first, we thought he was joking and laughed it off.  Then he explained that all his guests were beer drinkers and would not be able to help him with setting the anchor.  We declined, explaining that his boat weight would be too much for our anchor.  The air show started soon after.

Four parachuters jumped from a plane, got into formation and unfurled that American Flag

There were five planes flying closely together that let out this sky written American flag

The Blue Angels - the main attraction did not disappoint - we took a few pictures:

Flying right over our heads

Are these planes flying upside down so close together?

Observer hosted docktails with Golden and Ivanhoe - lots of Looper tales and fun.  Fireworks followed that were captured rather bizarrely by my camera.
