September 4 / Day 106 / Havana to Beardstown

We were off the dock at 7:10 and headed down the river 35 miles to Logsdon Tow Service to tie up for the night.  No one answered the phone yesterday or today.  We arrived; the sign indicated we were in the right spot.  We tied up, but the current was strong, so we found a better spot out of the channel a bit more and tied up again.  We eventually ran into a woman who said we were fine where we were.  It was hot, we were tied to a steel barge and there was no breeze and really nowhere to go so we ran the generator and fired up the AC and hung out.  We were a little leery to leave the boat with no one else around.  Had a nice dinner on board and post dinner launched the dinghy and took a ride across the river to a nice long beach where we could all stretch our legs. It was a nice peaceful night on the river.
