August 27 / Day 98 / St. Joseph's to Chicago

It was a bit windier than we expected walking Millie first thing in the morning.  Weather: we are essentially weighing wind on the strong end today with some waves, but doable vs. lighter winds tomorrow but some unsettled weather (thunderstorms in the area).  We both voted 'go for it' and left St. Joseph's harbor at 9. Conditions turned out as predicted about 15k winds with some heavier gusts - wind and waves on the port quarter bow.  The autopilot had a hard time dodging the bigger waves for Observer so it was relieved by Tim.  Six hours later we entered a new city in a new state in a new time zone - Hello Chicago.

We had reserved a mooring @ Monroe Harbor and by 3:00 we were done boating for the day - phew.
