October 4 / Day 136 / Pebble Isle to Clifton / 54.5 NM

Sunrise this morning

We were off the dock at 7:30 and we traveled another 60 miles south today on the Tennessee.  We traveled past some really nice water front residential areas.

Beautiful homes built on stilts to escape high water levels...something they don't need to worry about right now!

Interesting river side rock formation called Lady Finger Bluff

Only passed two tows today.  We arrived at the Clifton Marina in Clifton, TN just a bit after 2:00 and hooked up electric and got that AC going. It's another scorching day!

View from our stern for the night.  There is a blue heron on the point of land at the entrance to the channel that sat there for hours.  You can just barely make him out in this photo

There were seven Looper boats at the marina.  We all got together for docktails at the marina restaurant.

Our evening spot for docktails and dinner as seen from the stern of Observer.

Later the marina owners cooked up some really good burgers for those not eating on their boat that night (we paid for them).  The owners were very friendly and accommodating with a good dose of humor mixed in.
