Wednesday 5/02 We got a little later start today -
leaving the dock @ 8:30.

Passing the Calvert Cliffs |

Fishing boat |
|
Loved this little boat |
Again we had
light winds and calm seas, but we did run into a number of recreational fishing
boats trawling across our bow. It was a bit of an obstacle course keeping out
of their way and being courteous.
We
arrived at St. Michaels Marina around 2:30.
It's a beautiful town and really nice marina.
Tim did a paddle board tour of the inner
harbor.
Then we grabbed Millie and walked around town.
There are great little shops
and restaurants and very nice neighborhoods of modest well cared for
homes.Cocktails on the flybridge and
tacos of left overs for dinner and we called it a day.
Thursday 5/03.
It's a lay day for us in St. Michaels.
It's sunny and a bit on the warm side (80 ish)We attended to some chores
in the morning.
Did a bike ride south on rte
33 and picked up a few provisions on the way back.

Route 33 |
After getting Millie a little exercise we
walked over to the Chesapeake Maritime Museum and did a tour (we got in free
with our PEM membership).
It was a great little museum. It had another cottage style lighthouse similar to Drum Point Lightouse seen yesterday at the Calvert Maritime Museum, along with many boats used for fishing and recreation throughout the years and a wonderful exhibit on oyster harvesting.

Passed this pretty little park on our walk to the museum |

View from the lighthouse |
|
view of our marina from the top of the lighthouse |
|
View of Observer in the upper middle of the frame taken from the lighthouse |
We capped off our day with dinner at the
nearby St. Michaels Crab & Steak House.
Millie joined us as we dined outside and she loved all the attention and
smells of this venue.
