May 1 / Day 345 / Deltaville to Soloman's Island / 55 NM

Tues. 5/01    Up and off the dock @6:45 and we have a beautiful (read calm seas) on the Chesapeake.
Lighthouse on the Chesapeake

We traveled north to Spring Cove Marina in Solomon's Island.

Some of our neighbors

What a surprise!  Our buddy boat, Golden, who we traveled with from Joe Wheeler in Alabama to Legacy Harbor Marina in Fort Myers was docked right down from us.  She has new owners now...seeing her made us miss Paige, Mike and Callie all the more!

After getting settled, Tim went for a bike around and Alice checked out the local Calvert Maritime Museum.

Alice's favorite!

The CMM is best known for the Drum Point Lighthouse.  Built in 1883 in the "cottage style", the lighthouse was decommissioned in 1962 and moved to CCM in 1975.  It is furnished and filled with interesting artifacts.

Restaurants were not within a close walk so we took the dinghy up river to the Lantern Restaurant and had a nice meal at their bar.  We even had enough gas in the outboard to make it back to OBSERVER - bonus.
