November 28 - 30 / Day 191 - 193 /Boca Grande to Fort Myers Beach - Pink Shell Marina

Tuesday - we had a leisurely morning in Boca.  We left the dock at 10 and crossing the marina channel right in front of us were Mandy and Jim from Shell Belle.  They had left Venice earlier in the morning and just happened to intersect with us as we were heading to the main channel.  I don't think we've seen them since Green Turtle Bay. We will be docked at the same marina, Legacy in Fort Meyers with them for the month of December.

Dolphins continue to play in our wake on the way to Pink Shells.  It never gets old for us!

We arrived at our destination for three nights at Pink Shell Marina in Ft. Meyers Beach.  It is part of a large resort hotel.  We had a bit of a hard time trying to back into the assigned slip with the current and wind.  After three attempts of being rapidly pushed sideways to the slip, we requested another slip where we could pull bow in.  That did the trick.

I love these signs.  They seem to be all over Florida and each one points down to paradise
This being Fort Myers Beach, this party pirate ship went by us six times a day

For the reasonable price of the dock space we enjoyed all the amenities of the hotel: beautiful white sandy beach, complete with complimentary towels, chairs and umbrellas, three pools and a well equipped fitness room to name a few.  We could even take Millie on the beach with us!  Tuesday afternoon, all day Wednesday and all day Thursday, we enjoyed all the luxuries of the resort.  Long walks on the beach with Millie, dips in the pools, working out in the fitness room and just lazing on the beach watching the sunset.  The weather was sunny every day in the high 70s with a nice breeze.  Pure bliss!

This was our second favorite place to hang out...the quiet pool.  We were the only ones there!
