July 31 / Day 71 / Hilton Beach to Cricket Island / 3 NM

Our college friends who live in Beverly, MA, Rene and Chris, met us about 11 at our marina in their boat and provided us with a piloted escort to their vacation home on Cricket Island about 3 miles away.

and headed into Richards Landing by boat to have lunch and do some grocery shopping.

Chris's extended family has several properties in the area and in the course of the afternoon and evening we met Mom, brothers, sister, nephews, nephew's spouse, grand niece. . .

Chris and Rene hosted us and several family members to a great home cooked meal at their cottage.  It was a great evening and a real treat for us to be with old friends in a wonderful home.
